Shelby Gates
Exercise Physiologist
Tweed Heads
About Me:
I graduated from Griffith University on the Gold Coast in 2015. After graduating I was lucky to delve straight in to work as an accredited exercise physiologist. My professional focus involves helping patients overcome physical and mental barriers, to increase their physical activity, and help promote active living. Most of my professional experience has involved working with veterans, suffering from a magnitude of musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory injuries, as well as psychological conditions, such as PTSD and anxiety. I believe movement is one of, if not the most essential form of treatment for all conditions, whether that be in healing or management of a disease or injury. I’m passionate about making exercise fun and enjoyable for my patients, and I thrive in seeing them progress and achieve their exercise goals.
